This is a multi-package portable. I can add updates/plugins via .svm files, just request plugins or notify me about new updates.
FILES (SP2):
- SolidWorks 2019 Portable.exe = main program launcher - solidworks.svm = main data file (7.94 GB) - *.exe = other applications launchers - *.svm = additional separate data files
Release structure:
• APPS
(each one contains one big folder from full install + exe launchers) - visualize.svm (3.18 GB) = Visualize 2019 + Visualize Boost 2019 - inspection.svm (818 MB) / composer.svm (1.33 GB) / edrawings.svm (607 MB) = respective apps
• DATA:
(just big folders, to reduce main pack size) - cam.svm (1.55 GB) = /ProgramFiles/SOLIDWORKS Corp/SOLIDWORKS CAM - flowsimulation.svm (817 MB) = /ProgramFiles/SOLIDWORKS Corp/SOLIDWORKS Flow Simulation - pcb.svm (1.53 GB) = /ProgramFiles/SOLIDWORKS Corp/SOLIDWORKS PCB - plastics.svm (1.00 GB) = /ProgramFiles/SOLIDWORKS Corp/SOLIDWORKS Plastics
Use: put all files in the same folder (exe and svm). Any exe file connects to the main 'Portable' exe and runs desired app, reading all .svm files next to it.
Notes (SP2):
- in this SP2 update, Electrical is included in the main package. - composer.svm might be required, has some problems for me running without it, if so just download it. - Solved a lot of license issues users were having with previous SP0 release. Let me know!
ADDONS:
Sandbox folder: "\Sandbox\SolidWorks 2019\roaming\modified\@PROGRAMFILES@\SOLIDWORKS Corp\"
Why so big?!
Installed size in /ProgramFiles/ was 18.5 GB, and with other files in /appdata/ etc was 21.6 GB total. Portable total size is 'just' 18 GB. I could compress it, but performance would have been worse. I made a poll on my Telegram channel (@thehouseofportable) and big size+better performance style won, so please be patient, it's just a big app itself :)

I am also doing portables. I guess you use TurboStudio, or ?
I prefer to use the pack-algorithm. As you said, it will be slower….BUUT … it is only slower on the first start. After the first start, chache is made and the performance should be like the uncompressed. Did you tried it ?
The House of Portable · 17 March 2019 at 0:11
Sorry what do you mean with pack-algorithm? And yep I use turbo 🙂

I’m having trouble getting it to work. Solidworks gets stuck when it tries to load registry. I suspect that its also having issues licensing it to my machine, is there a way to change SolidWorks to a standalone license instead of a network license?
The House of Portable · 17 March 2019 at 0:09
Sorry, that would be great but not possible, network license is much more easier to get around. You may get sp2 which should fix every problem users had with sp0
Andre Simon · 7 February 2019 at 14:49
Please, can we get a EXE wirhout a TROJAN? Thanks.
The House of Portable · 17 March 2019 at 0:08
No trojans here, please use some serious av and not some Norton sh*t 😀
soriedem · 5 March 2019 at 1:53
Hello. Your site is the best on the internet about portable programs. Congratulations! I downloaded the solidworks 2019 program. But he asks for the license, and he closes. I used Winrar v5.20. Do you have any solutions? A hug from here in Brazil.
The House of Portable · 17 March 2019 at 0:06
Sorry previous version had problems sometimes with some users in specific cases. With SP2 everything should be fixed, let me know!
WMD · 6 March 2019 at 15:22
Portable SolidWorks!That is my dream!!!!!!!!!
The House of Portable · 17 March 2019 at 0:06
There you go! 😉
Fanny · 15 March 2019 at 0:22
Excuse me.. Do i have to download all the three parts of the program (Main core, apps, and data) or only the main core and CAM data are needed to run the software properly?
The House of Portable · 17 March 2019 at 0:05
Only core program is required, other things are optional – I guess – just download if you need that specific package. Note that I don’t know how to use programs, I just make them portable, so maybe some of the packages are required!
