I’ve been using WinX DVD Ripper for a while now in its PLATINUM version, and I have to say they were not wrong about how great it is.

Ripping DVDs is a delicate thing, and for delicate things you need software that you can trust. Free software around may be good, but they will never be like a paid software for obvious reasons. So here’s YOUR chance to get your hands on a PREMIUM software, legit and for free!

You may have tried many softwares for DVD Ripping, there are really a lot, but let me say that your journey is now over.

Now that I discovered this WinX DVD Ripper free license I can say goodbye to every other similar product I ever tried, because it’s better in pretty much every single aspect.

 

The interface is superb!

The installation took just 10 seconds and it’s then ready to launch. Insert your free platinum license and you’re good to go with Platinum version, which is crazy. The interface is clean and simple to understand, as you can see from the picture below.

I’m really amazed by how good the interface is, whatever you want to do with discs and images, there’s a button ready for you.

Disc: if you inserted a disc in your computer, hit this button, select it and you’ll be given a ton of options, such as saving your entire DVD to a .iso file, to a folder or to rip the videos into normal playable video files, or also stream your DVD content directly in the window at top right corner, see how the DVD is built and its structure details, menus, subtitles, audio streams etc.

Folder: Browse for DVD-format folders and burn them directly, without building an iso image first!

All these three options come with the ability to Auto-detect the DVD format, it is great to prevent wrong actions and bad writing, which can cause damaged iso files or discs, and nobody wants to throw away a disc just for a software error.

Options: Minimal but super useful. You can choose default DVD audio language, which is super useful if you always get annoyed changing it each time like me.

 

Software is also multilanguage and you can choose between some of the most famous languages.

Ripping

WinX DVD Ripper can be used to rip directly from DVDs, but it also works with ISO images, and folders of DVD files. Once your input has been analyzed, you can take your pick from a raft of ready made profiles. These profiles help you to quickly output a video that’s suitable for playback on specific mobile devices or, say, ideal for uploading to Facebook.

 

You can choose to rip the built-in subtitles or embed your own, and you can select which audio tracks should be included; it’s all beautifully simple and pleasingly fast.

 

GPU

I was amazed when I discovered that WinX DVD Ripper is the only one to support GPU hardware acceleration to speed up the ripping progress. Seems so obvious but it’s not! GPU acceleration really helps a lot in terms of conversion speed and reliability, you will surely understand this if you know how GPU (Graphics Processing Units) works. GPU can speed up the DVD conversion time to a new level, while keeping great quality and smallest possible file size.

It is blazingly fast in comparison with other DVD Rippers I tried in the past, even on my not-so-new computer! I tried converting a movie with same settings on two different converters, and time got reduced by a full 30% in WinX DVD Ripper with GPU acceleration, but they say it can save you even up to 50% time.

 

Converting to MP4

In this matter comes the DVD to MP4 conversion feature. MP4 is the most compatible and versatile video format around, and converting your DVDs directly to this format and with this speed is just great.

WinX DVD Ripper uses the most efficient and famous H.264/MPEG4 codecs combined with the speed of GPU acceleration, for a performance never seen before, super fast in converting, but also in playback by other players!

Converting a DVD to MP4 video file is super easy:

• Select source: DVD disc, ISO file, or even a folder, from those three big buttons on main interface.
• Select MP4 as output format. You can even choose to optimize format for viewing on iPhone, Android, YouTube, etc!
• Select output folder where to save your converted .mp4 file
• RUN! WinX DVD Ripper will start converting, and automatically enabling GPU hardware acceleration for best performance, taking just ~5 mins to rip a full movie to mp4 format.
  

Even has a video editor!

There is also a basic video editor integrated into this program. This is not uncommon for DVD rippers, but this editor is even more basic than the competition. You can trim footage, crop, edit and merge videos, and even add or edit SRT subtitles.

However, it lacks the ability to add adjust-picture values, such as brightness and contrast, and it cannot add watermarks.
